Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my website. My name is Kim. I am a photographer with a passion for capturing everything I can with my camera so that it is never forgotten. Most of my sessions are done either outdoors or in my home studio. Things like a pregnant belly, a newborn baby, a graduating senior, a groom seeing his bride for the very first time in hear beautiful gown, the first kiss after saying your vows, the proposal, the parent arriving home from serving in the military to hold his new baby for the first time, the bond between child and parent, siblings snuggling together, the first birthday, the musician playing their instrument or singing their song and so many other intimate moments. I love being able to capture these moments forever for my clients.
Some of my favorite things are, spending time with my own children, listening to the ocean waves crash against the shore, rocking a new baby to sleep, making people smile, laughing 5 minutes later at a joke I finally got, snuggling up on the couch with my kids and my sweetheart watching TV and eating popcorn, going for walks and enjoying the world around us, meeting new people, listening to live music of any kind, meeting a friend for coffee and talking for hours about life, exploring new ways to stay happy and healthy, helping others through struggles through the lessons I have learned in life in my own struggling times and just about anything that makes me smile or moves me.
I am a very proud mom of 4 amazing kids. They are 31, 29, 22 and 19. I look back at the day I found out I was pregnant with my oldest daughter and can't believe it's been 31 years since that day. It amazes me how quickly it has gone by. I love who my kids are today and I so look forward to each day watching them grow and create their own paths in life. My oldest daughter is spunky and sassy, but has a great sense of style, knows where she wants to go in life and is on her way there. My oldest son is quiet, shy and reserved. He doesn’t have a lot to say most of the time, but when he does you take the time to listen as he becomes very passionate about what he’s speaking about. My youngest daughter is spunky and shy all at the same time. She has a fun sense of style and is always up for a last minute shopping trip. My youngest is a little ball of energy. He keeps me on my toes and always challenges my knowledge about the world around him. He loves and trusts everyone which will take him far as he continues to grow.
I was born in Southern California and moved to Northern California my Freshman year of High School. After I graduated High School, I moved to the Roseville area and started my career as a preschool teacher while attending a local Junior College to get my ECE Units. I have worked in a handful of different types of jobs, but must say that Photography is definitely the most gratifying one thus far. It moves me like no other job I have ever had. I have loved Photography since I was very young. I remember getting my very first camera. It was a Vivitar film camera. Haha.. Those were the days. I think my mom spent a fortune developing all of the film I kept giving her. Finally she said " you need to earn your own money, I can't afford to develop your film anymore ". I then started raking leaves, washing cars, babysitting, housesitting, pet sitting, having yard sales and doing whatever it took to get a few dollars to develop my film. I got my first digital camera about 10 years ago and have never looked back. I got a little point and shoot Canon, but it was always in my pocket or my purse and went everywhere I did. About 6 years ago I was introduced to the DSLR world. WOW!!! I was in love from the first time I picked up my Nikon D700. In 2017 I added a Nikon D750 to my camera family and absolutely love it!
Well, now that you know a little about me, thank you for taking the time to read all of this. I look forward to meeting you and your family and capturing your memories forever.
Have a wonderful day!!
- Kim
